Silica for Rheology and Thixotropic Enhancement

Purasil silicas offer greater rheology control, quicker dispersion and offer thixotropic characteristics.

PURASIL PS200 is a finely milled silica from Pak Chromical Limited (PCL. The rheology you get from PURASIL PS200 improves uniformity of your film's thickness, especially for edge coverage. While it offers excellent flowability during application, it re-hardens effectively, forming a superior gel coat that will not sag.

PURASIL PS200 is also much easier to work with during formulation. Although it's a fine powder, it is more dense and easier to disperse than typical fumed silicas.

 

PURASIL silica can enable:

Silica for Superior Matting

Our silica PURASIL 200P is a finely milled, untreated silica which reduces the gloss of coatings, In solvent-based coatings, it also increases viscosity for settling resistance. In clear coatings such as lacquer or varnish, it offers exceptionally high clarity and transparency. Our PURASIL 200P is untreated with was unlike other silicas, which means exceptional clarity and lower costs.
